Hans Zimmer is back with another tour in 2022. The O2 Arena will be the home of this epic concert experience, and it’s kicking off on TUE MAR 22nd at 6:30 PM.
The Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is adding a month’s worth of summer shows to his first-ever North American tour, which will kick off on April 14th at Coachella. The soundtrack for movies such as Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean are just some examples that he has composed throughout his career. He also collaborated with Johnny Depp in their band “The Hollywood Vampires.”
After a four-month stint in Europe, Zimmer will return to the United States on July 13th at Dallas’ Verizon Theater for his first tour date. The 18-show trek wraps up with two nights of shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York on July 25 and 26 before concluding August 12th in San Diego.
Zimmer’s concerts are divided into two distinct parts: The first half features pieces from the composer’s scores for films like The Lion King, Gladiator, and Pirates of the Caribbean, while in the second part he will explore some “re-imagined takes on his music. “For example,” Zimmer says, “I might do a more romantic take on Batman Begins or Interstellar.” These explorations may include special guests such as Kronos Quartet violinist David Harrington who has performed with Zimmer before to perform string arrangements live onstage together.
