When Martin Laurent Picandet was a young boy, he found an interest in music after being involved with the choir. As an adolescent and teen, he began to experiment more deeply into electronic music through his love for it at 13 years old when owning turntables. When working as the head of production staff at a record store near 14th arrondissement Paris called “Réflection Vinyl”, there came an opportunity where they were able to contribute tracks on Bob Sinclair’s album which prompted him to release his own first album under Mixture Records label in 2002 entitled “Amicalement”.

Finding influences for his music in all sorts of places that many often overlook, Martin has found a sound to define it as uniquely different from the rest. Though he’s made use of African rhythms or American funk/rock dynamics at various times and still possesses the same vibe which makes him stand out among electronic musicians, one thing remains constant: His innate talent is what led him to work with artists such as Madonna and Bloc Party.
