Music festivals are a great way to take in the sights and sounds of an area whilst immersing yourself in local cultures. This 24 to 26 September in 2021, The Governors Ball Music Festival is returning for three days at Citi Field with music from all corners including Electronic Hip Hop Multi-Genre.
The Governors Ball Music Festival is a New York City music festival that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The festival features big-name musical acts across all genres coming together to celebrate the love of music and foster creativity in youth through arts education programs, as well as collaborations with some great local businesses.
The Governor’s Ball has established itself for not only being one of America’s most prestigious festivals but also as an advocate and supporter for art education while showcasing talented musicians from around the world who come into town just once per decade.
Last year, the festival was held in Newark and it had a very different feel. The venue is new this year so organizers are looking to re-purpose Citi Field’s amenities as well as using its location near Manhattan. Attendees have been encouraged not only to explore Queens but also hop on one of many trains or buses that will take them into New York City for events such as films, comedy shows, and other themed happenings throughout all five boroughs during the event’s extended days.
The Governors Ball Music Festival has announced plans to move from their former venue at Prudential Center in Newark NJ to CitiField located just outside of NYC with clear views overlooking downtown Jersey City, Brooklyn Bridge Park & Lower Manhattan – perfect both for attendees.

How much are governors ball music festival tickets?
These tickets will be between the lowest price of $82 to the highest expensive ticket at $200.
The price for a single 3 day passes ranges from $190 to $250. This depends on whether you purchase it in advance or once you get inside, which is something important to know before purchasing your festival passes. There are also VIP packages available for anyone who is looking for more amenities while they enjoy this event. The prices depend on how many days one would want in their package and what perks come along with it such as various food options, shuttle buses, standard tickets per person in the cabin (sometimes up to 8 guests or sometimes only 2), tents with beds, etcetera. Is the Governors Ball free?
Yes, the event is free for all ages. Children five years old and younger get in for free so don’t forget to bring them.
Is Gov Ball VIP worth it?
Yes, it’s worth it. The VIP tents are put in secluded places where people don’t have to walk through the crowds or wait for shuttles. They have food and drinks ready and catering for any allergies.
There is a personal concierge to help with anything you may need. You don’t have to carry anything, bathroom attendants clean up after you’ve used them, there are shaded areas with comfortable lounge seating instead of squatted against someone else on the ground throughout the day because that’s all there is available space-wise.
The atmosphere when you enter Prime Out East (or whatever, whichever festival they’re at) as a VIP has line services so high-end clients get pampered too.
Where should I stay for Governors Ball?
You have several options with the nearest Hilton being a short 8-minute walk away. Governors Ball attendees can also stay at the boutique hotels— The Standard, New York, or luxury hotel, Pan Pacific NY. Those who are interested in staying closer to uptown should consider hotels near Carnegie Hall and Central Park.
Remember, the New Jersey Transit will be (mostly) running trains for Governor’s Ball participants making it easy to get around without needing a car rental! There’s little doubt that this is the most cost-effective and eco-friendly mode of transport for Governor’s Ball attendees.
