On Monday, Stray Kids revealed the North American dates for their forthcoming “Maniac” global tour (April 18). The K-pop octet will begin their tour in late April in Seoul, South Korea, before heading to Japan in May and then to the United States in June and July.
The Live Nation-promoted US dates will take off on June 29 with a performance at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, before continuing on to Chicago, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Seattle in celebration of their No. 1 Billboard 200 collection, Stray Kids Mini Album: Oddinary. As per Luminate, previously MRC Data, the group — which comprises Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N — debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album charts in March with 110,000 comparable album units and Top Album Sales with 103,000 album sales. Stray Kids join BTS (20 weeks at No. 1), BLACKPINK, and SuperM to become the fourth K-pop artist to reach No. 1 on the Artist 100 since its inception in 2014. (one week each). The boys were astonished by the chart double-dip, and they were screaming out over their first entry on the Billboard tally in a discussion with Billboard on Twitter Spaces.“Woah, so exciting!” the South Korean pop group was heard cheering about the news, before Bang Chan chimed in, “We heard the news a few moments ago and are like, ‘Is this real? Is this actually happening?’ We were really surprised too.”
