Touring in Georgia Blue, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s upcoming album is scheduled for 2023. This tour will take place in January and February, making stops in the following cities: Orlando, Clearwater, Hollywood, Fort Myers, Mobile, Evansville, Shipshewana, Saginaw, Nashville, Greensboro, Richmond, and Ashland. The tour will cover a total of 12 cities. A special guest, Peter One, will accompany the tour as a support act. This artist recently teamed up with Sheryl Crow to embark on a tour as co-headliners earlier this summer.

Georgia Blue, Isbell and Company’s seventh album to be recorded in a studio was released on October 15, 2021, by Southeastern Records. The new album is the follow-up to 2020’s “Reunions,” which topped the chart for Country albums on Billboard and featured a cameo performance by Michael Kiwanuka on the track titled “What’ve I Done to Help.” The previous year, the singer and his backing band collaborated with Father John Misty for a significant co-headlining tour. Special guests Jade Bird and Erin Rae also appeared on tour as supporting acts. In 2022, they went on a lengthy tour across the United States of America with backing from artists such as Adia Victoria, Shawn Colvin, Strand of Oaks, David Crosby, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lucinda Williams, and The Rails.

Spirit of the South and Southeast

The Americana Music Honors & Awards frequently include performances by Jason Isbell. In 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, he and his fellow Alabamans from The 400 Unit were responsible for publishing the Song of the Year. In contrast to most 21st-century musicians, Jason Isbell has created multiple live albums. The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, served as the setting for his most recent live CD, Live from the Ryman.

Since leaving Drive-By Truckers after six years, Isbell has developed a new sound for his songs. A significant event in his musical career was the publication of his solo album Southeastern in 2013, which was later honoured by the Americana Music Honors and Awards as Album of the Year. In addition to his success and popularity in the United States, Jason Isbell is highly known in other countries. In 2016, he was honoured as Artist of the Year by the UK Americana Awards, and in 2018, his album The Nashville Sound was respected as International Album of the Year by those same awards.

His family honed the musical abilities of Jason Isbell while he was growing up in a rural part of Alabama during his childhood and adolescence. He began by learning to play the mandolin, and by the time he was 16, he was already performing at the Grand Ole Opry.

Isbell has been awarded Grammys not only for his songs but also for his albums. 24 Frames and If We Were Vampires, both of which won Best American Roots Song, are among these tracks. His albums Something More Than Free and the Nashville Sound won Best Americana Album in 2016 and 2018, respectively. The title song, Something More Than Free, was a Billboard No.1 hit for the folk, rock and country genres. Jason Isbell frequently cites Neil Young and Ben Howard as two of his primary musical influences.
