The main event and the remainder of the fight card have been announced for PFL 5, which will take place on Friday, June 24 at Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Bruno Cappelozza, the 2021 heavyweight champion, will face fellow Brazilian Matheus Scheffel in the main event.

Cappelozza, the defending champion, interrupted Stuart Austin’s night in April with a first-round knockout to earn six points and put him in a strong position to enter the Playoffs. After losing his first match to Croatian slugger Ante Delija, Scheffel needs to earn a stoppage if he wants to make the playoffs. In the co-main event, former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis returns to action after defeating Myles Price by submission at PFL 3, earning him six points and putting him atop the division standings. “Showtime” takes on Stevie Ray of Scotland, who needs an early stoppage to clinch a playoff place.

On the PFL 5 program, 2021 featherweight finalist Chris Wade faces Kyle Bochniak. Renan Ferreira also squares off against Klidson Abreu.
