The country singer’s original three concerts had been extended to include the stadium this weekend. And it will be held every year.
The pop star Ed Sheeran was given an event license for two additional concerts in April. It’s no surprise that he’ll have even more fans lining up at the door.
Two more dates for Garth Brooks have been granted by the city council after a rigorous planning procedure that involved public consultation.
The decision wasn’t an easy one, but the council eventually voted in favor of giving permission for two additional concerts. This was met with much criticism and outrage from local residents who submitted over 120 petitions against it; they say there is no appeal mechanism available which makes their opinion count for nothing when decisions like these need to be made. The output should include more information about why this topic would make people angry or frustrated.

Colm Stephens, of the Clonliffe and Croke Park Area Residents’ Association, said that residents feel abandoned by their city council. I’ve never felt so left in my life.
He said that the stadium was built with the quality of life in mind, and there are only three concerts allowed per year to maintain it.
Mr. Stephens went on to say that there are a thousand more concerts per year than what Equity had been suggesting and the stadium is not suitable for night-time shows because it would have an adverse effect on residents living nearby.
