Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Karl Roberson at Light Heavyweight has been added to the UFC Vegas 58 card, which is scheduled for July 8, 2022, at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout was publicized earlier today (Monday, June 6, 2022) on social media by Roberson’s sports agency, Paradigm Sports.
Given that Roberson has lost his past three fights to Brendan Allen, Marvin Vettori, and Khalil Rountree Jr., both fighters are in dire need of a victory. In all three of those contests, Roberson was declared victorious, thus another humiliating loss would jeopardize his career in the UFC.
In terms of Nzechukwu, he has lost his past two fights, most recently by split decision against Nicolae Negumereanu at UFC 272 earlier this year. He has only been able to compile a 3-3 record since making his UFC debut in 2019.
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rafael Fiziev’s Lightweight fight will be the main event of UFC Vegas 58. Cody Garbrandt and Rani Yahya will square off in the co-main event, and Cynthia Calvillo will make her comeback to compete against Nina Nunes in women’s flyweight action.
