Bad Suns, from Los Angeles, have released a new single titled “Maybe You Saved Me.” The track features vocals from PVRIS frontwoman Lynn Gunn, a member of the pop-rock band PVRIS.
As the band began recording sessions for the album Apocalypse Whenever, released early this year, the song came quickly to them. It was produced by Eric Palmquist and co-written by Bad Suns, PVRIS, and Andrew Goldstein (Yungblud, black bear, MGK).
On September 30, a deluxe edition of Apocalypse Whenever will be released. This version will include bonus tracks such as “Maybe You Saved Me,” as well as an electronic remix of the hit single “Life Was Easier When I Only Cared About Me” by DJ/producer Robotaki.
Bad Suns will be headlining a tour that will begin on October 3 in Pomona, California and end on November 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tour will be in support of their latest album, Apocalypse Whenever. Throughout the entirety of the show, they will be backed up by Last Dinosaurs, an Australian indie rock band, and Quarters of Change, a band from New York City.
Why did they choose to call themselves Bad Suns?
Chris Bowman, the lead singer of the band, had stated that the period when they attempted to think of a name was one of the most hectic times he had ever experienced. Luck played a role in discovering the name Bad Suns, just as it does in many other aspects of life. One day, Bowman was browsing his music library on iTunes. He came across the song Bad Sun by The Bravery. The name of the song immediately caught his attention. He shared the band name concept with his fellow musicians, who decided to add an s to it before adopting it as their moniker.
How long does a typical Bad Suns show last?
Most Bad Suns concerts last between two and three hours, but the length of the show can vary based on the opening acts, encore, and other factors.

Final Thoughts
On September 16, 2016, Bad Suns presented the world with their second studio album, “Disappear Here.” While listening to Bret Easton Ellis’s Less Than Zero on his album, Bowman came up with the name for the album “It may have been the second or third time the ‘Disappear Here’ billboard appears in the narrative, but all of a sudden it felt like a ton of bricks was being dropped on my head. It was all-encompassing and encompassed everything.” The song “This Was a Home Once” was released as a single by Bad Suns on October 6, 2017. They declared that they had signed with Epitaph Records on November 13, 2018, the same day they released “Away We Go,” which was their first new music in more than a year. On January 14, Bad Suns announced that the title of their upcoming album would be “Mystic Truth” and that it would be released on March 22.
