u2 tour history
The U2 tour history is one of the most successful tours in history. This Irish rock band has sold over 150 million records worldwide and has won 22 Grammy Awards, more than any other band. The group’s lead singer Bono is known for his activism and philanthropy that he does through many charities such as ONE Campaign or Product Red. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 with a speech that had an activist tone to it about how great music can change lives.
The U2 tour started out small but quickly grew into something big-time with their first stadium show at Shea Stadium back in 1981 which ended up being a disaster because there were too many people trying to enter the venue causing chaos inside so they moved on the place and hold a new concert at near the large stadium.
