American rock band The Black Keys has announced 2020 tour dates. The band will hit the road in May. The tour is the extension of their last album Let’s Rock which was released in 2019. This tour would be the first in five years for all the members together. For the death of Richard Swift in 2018, the Black Keys has to bring changes in their lineup. They have Steve Marion from the band Delicate. Bass guitarist Zach Gabbard along with Andy Gabbard has joined the Black Keys to make the lineup complete.
The band formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001. This rock band had two members at the beginning. Dan Auerbach was in the guitar and vocals and Patrick Carney in the drums. The duo has always added some touring members to their lineup.
The Black Keys came in prominence in 2010 with the release of Brothers which made the band well known to music lovers. The band also received three Grammy Awards for the track ‘Tighten Up’ from the 2010 release Brothers. The Black Keys 2011 release ranked top in US Billboard 200 list. Since then the band has many hits in their catalog.
In 2019 the band released Let’s Rock album after coming back from a hiatus of five years. The duo did not have a tour since 2015. The Black Keys has announced this 2020 tour dates in support of the last year’s album.
The band will hit the road in May. The Sheepdogs and Early James will play the opening act for the Black Keys. In this Let’s Rock tour the band will be across Canada only. The band will perform at the Shaky Knees music festival in Georgia before exploring Canada.
