Santana, one of the most revered names in Latin music, is joining up with fellow hitmakers from the 1970s, Earth, Wind & Fire, for the “Miraculous Supernatural” Tour, which will visit dozens of locations.

Santana is a rock band from the United States that was established in San Francisco in 1966.

The band’s current lineup includes Carlos Santana on lead guitar, vocals, and percussion; Benny Rietveld on bass; Karl Perazzo on percussion; Andy Vargas on vocals; Tommy Anthony on rhythm guitar; David K. Mathews on keyboards; Paoli Mejias on percussion; Cindy Blackman Santana on drums; and Ray Greene on drums (vocals).

Santana was first conceived by Carlos Santana, the band’s namesake.

1969 was the year that the band signed their first contract with Columbia Records.

Throughout their career, Santana went through several lineup changes.

Santana’s first album, named Santana, was first recorded at Pacific Recording Studios. On August 30, 1969, the record was made accessible to the general public for the very first time.

On September 23, 1970, the band issued their second album created in a recording studio under Abraxas. Joe Zawinul, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis are three musicians that have had a significant impact on the band.

In those days, they were the ones investigating jazz fusion.

Caravanserai was the fourth studio album released by Santana, and it was released on October 11, 1972. Even though the band underwent significant member changes to record this album, it debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200.

After releasing four albums in a row, Santana eventually published their first album, which was declared gold. It was first published in 1973 with the name Welcome. On the Billboard 200, Welcome reached its highest position at number 25. Before achieving the kind of popularity that they had hoped for, the band continued to explore several musical directions.

Santana will celebrate two key milestones in the band’s history during their next tour: the 20th anniversary of the publication of their highly acclaimed Supernatural album and the 50th anniversary of their performance at Woodstock, which sealed their position in music history.
