After the release of their latest studio album, ‘Raise The Roof,’ on Nov. 19. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have just come across their social media handles and revealed the U.S. and European tours in 2022. This duo released a collaborative album in 2007 named Raising Sand. The Album has earned the Album of the year award in 2008. Grammy awarded them with Americana Music Honors and awards in 2009.
This is a historical event as they are finally announcing a tour after 12 long years. The tour isn’t going to be very long, at least not as far as it’s been publicized. Plant and Krauss will only play ten shows in the United States, all of which will take place in the east, Midwest, or South. Their European tour is considerably shorter, with only eight performances scheduled.
Three of the ten U.S. performances are in New York, with the tour kicking off on Jun. 1 in Canandaigua, NY, and continuing to Saratoga Springs and Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. The tour then stops in towns including Chicago, Philadelphia, and Indianapolis before wrapping up at Atlanta’s Cadence Bank Amphitheatre two weeks later. Plant and Krauss commenced the European leg which was organized in the heart of London- at BST Hyde park on Jun. 26, wrapping up in Berlin on Jul. 20.

Demand will undoubtedly exceed supply at these outings. There’s no word on whether dates in other areas may be added later. But even after their previous Album, the Grammy-winning “Raising Sand,” came out in 2007, tour dates didn’t come in huge abundance, topping out at fewer than 50 shows.
