The indie rock band Modest Mouse has revealed that they will be marking the 25th anniversary of the publication of their seminal album “The Lonesome Crowded West” by going on a massive tour of North America later in 2022. The twenty-date tour will include stops in key cities such as Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York during November and December. The band just finished the MMXXI Tour, which began in 2021 and featured special guests Future Islands and The Cribs. The tour just came to an end.
The single titled “Heart Cooks Brain” was included on Modest Mouse’s second studio album, titled “The Lonesome Crowded West,” and published on November 18, 1997. The Golden Casket, their most recent album, debuted at number 12 on Billboard’s Rock album chart and was also the band’s final recording to include both Jim Fairchild and Lisa Molinaro. In 2019, the band performed alongside Shannon & the Clams as they were opening for The Black Keys on select dates of their Let’s Rock Tour. Isaac Brock, Jeremiah Green, Tom Peloso, Russell Higbee, Ben Massarella, and Simon O’Connor are some of the members that are active at this time.
