Elton John is the 20th century’s one of the top music icons. His basic genre is pop and rock. However, we have seen him collaborating rock and pop music and melting them into one another for a perfect music vibe.

This musician is basically a British Singer. He is a composer along with a pianist too. More than 300 million records have been sold by this singer till now. People of these days still die to listen to list music!

Who is Elton?

From a young age, Elton John is involved in music. He was born in 1947 in Middlesex, England. He got into the music world at an early age. He learned piano when he was only four years old. As he was amazing in music, he wanted to make this his profession.

And so, he wanted to be an educated musician. TO pursue this, he won a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London. This was his doorway to the music world. However, he never had a healthy parental background. His parents got divorced when he was still a child. He dropped out of school when he was 17 and started to join music with Bluesology.

He worked for a songwriter for Liberty Records. It was back in 1967. He teamed up with Bernie Taupin who was a lyricist. His first attempt as a singer for his career was with an album named Empty Sky. It was released in 1969. He failed there and started to work for self-titled songs. Your Song was the first hot of this singer.

After that, he never needed to look back for fame. He worked on Bennie and the Jets, Island Girl, Crocodile Rock and much more! His top-selling albums were Rock of the Westies and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Elton has his own band named Elton John Band. Now, the members of this band are Nigel Olsson, Ray Copper, John Mahon, Kim Bullard, Davey Johnstone, Matt Bissonette and he himself. He has been with several bands and collaborated with several musicians for better music.

Just like the recorded songs, he was visible in the live performances too! In his live performances, he used to dress up in a humorous manner. And this is what the public used to enjoy!

His Don’t Go Break My Heart reached the top charts of that time. However, he wanted to take a break then. He came back again in 1979 with another album named A Single Man!

Along with this, his Empty Garden, Little Jeannie, etc. still was on the top charts. His other hits were- Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Candle in the Wind, etc.

He worked in animations like Gnomeo and Juliet where he was a composer and producer. His autobiographical efforts include The Captain & the Kid, Cowboy, etc. too.

He got nominations and awards in Academy Awards, Brit Awards, Grammy Awards, Ivor Novello Awards. Along with this, he was nominated in Juno Awards and also won in MTV Video Music Awards, NRJ, and MVPA Music Awards.
