DaBaby, a well-known name in the hip-hop community, has plans to go on an extensive tour of the United States beginning in 2022 to promote his brand new album titled “Baby on Baby 2.” The tour will start on October 27 in Minneapolis and continue through November, making stops in major cities such as Chicago, Detroit, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. In total, there will be 13 performances. In 2021, the rapper kicked off his Live Show Killa Tour across the United States, which lasted until the beginning of 2022.

On September 23, 2022, DaBaby announced the release of his fourth studio album titled “Baby on Baby 2,” distributed by Interscope Records and South Coast Music Group. The new album is the follow-up to 2020’s album titled “Blame It on Baby,” which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Artists such as Future,  London on the Track,  YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Roddy Ricch, A Boogie with the Hoodie, Ashanti, and Megan Thee Stallion all contribute to the album’s special guests. He started his Kirk Tour the year before and will continue into 2020. Special guest Stunna 4 Vegas will be accompanying him on this run. For the previous few years, the musician in Cleveland has been on multiple tracks as a guest artist, including songs by Lizzo, Post Malone, J. Cole, and MadeinTYO, among others.

Between 2017 and 2018, DaBaby released eight mixtapes he had created independently. 2019 was the year that he finally got his big break, and he swiftly followed it up by releasing his first full-length studio album under the title Baby on Baby. The first song from the album was “Suge,” which was a significant success that reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is conceivable that the success of the double-platinum single was one of the contributing factors that helped Baby on Baby get the gold certification and rise to position No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Other hit songs from the album include Baby, Goin’ Baby, and Babysitter, all of which were generated from this album. As a result of this meteoric ascent to prominence, several other musicians have asked DaBaby to appear in some of their songs. In addition, DaBaby has been featured on songs that have been included on the Hot 100, such as Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cash Sh*t,” Dreamville’s “Under the Sun,” and Chance the Rapper’s “Hot Shower.” After breaking through in 2019, he has been a regular on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, often appearing there multiple times.

Bottom Lines

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk is the actual name of the North Carolina native who performs under the stage name DaBaby. The rapper, who is 27 years old, has also been known by the name Baby Jesus in the past when he was starting in the music industry. Baby Jesus is one of his nicknames. Although DaBaby has been rapping since 2015, he only recently released his debut studio album in March 2019, and it has already been certified gold. It didn’t take him long to make a name for himself, as his first single, “Suge,” has already been awarded two times the platinum certification and placed in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. Already in possession of two more songs that have been awarded the gold certification, DaBaby has also been featured on songs by other prominent singers like Chance The Rapper and Megan Thee Stallion.
