Alt-j and Portugal. The Man have announced their joint tour, kicking off February 25th in Pittsburgh and stretches into April visiting U.S. cities like Washington DC, Atlanta, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and New York. This is the first time these two bands will share the stage for a tour.
Canadian dates for the upcoming tour have been announced. Joining him will be special guests Sir Chloe and Cherry Glazerr.
The two bands will be playing together in cities all across North America. They are both nominated for Best Rock Album at this year’s Grammy Awards, with Alt-j up against Portugal. The Man in the category of Alternative Music Albums.
Alt-J is back with their fourth studio album, The Dream. This new record follows up 2017’s Relaxer and 2014’s This Is All Yours which reached #4 on the Billboard 200 – becoming one of Alt-J’s most successful albums to date in North America too.
They have also gone on tour this year playing support for two great artists: Kamasi Washington (who has been nominated at some prestigious awards recently) as well as locals like The Neighbourhood. With eight million plays from Spotify alone since launching its first play counts all those years ago, including six Grammy Awards nominations – we can’t wait until what other milestones will be achieved next.
