Will there be a Voodoo Fest 2021?
With the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience this weekend, I can’t help but think about whether there will be a Voodoo Fest 2021. The festival has been canceled in 2018 and 2020 due to a lack of funds, which is unfortunate because it’s one of my favorite festivals.
In 2019, they are celebrating their 20th anniversary with an event that includes performances by Stevie Wonder and Lil Wayne. It was announced that the festival would not return in 2021 on September 12th, 2018. However, they have announced the festival which will occur in 2022.
What is Voodoo Fest, New Orleans?
Voodoo Festival is a New Orleans tradition that has been going on for over 20 years. The festival is held annually in City Park and features some of the biggest names in music. This year’s headliners are Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, and Jack White.
Other notable acts include Bon Iver, Hozier, Skrillex, Major Lazer – DJ Snake- Diplo Present: Slapdance; Kygo – Selena Gomez; Bassnectar – Gogol Bordello with Eugene Hütz (of Gogol Bordello).
