After finishing up their journey on the 2022 Metal Tour of the Year, Trivium has just revealed that they will be headlining a brand new tour, titled the Deadmen and Dragons Tour, beginning in the spring of 2023. The following bands will support the band during this run: Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel, and Khemmis.

According to a press release that is associated with this piece of news, Trivium singer Matt Heafy says the following about their upcoming tour:

“Between the Buried and Me are the forerunners of blending musical genres well before anyone else had.” Back in 2002, on the excellent album of the same name, BTBAM demonstrated that they were passionately ready to mix components of death metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal, prog, and angelic, at times stunning, verses of melody in their music. Their album with the same name was a significant inspiration for me; I was mesmerized by the expansive combination of many different musical styles. They created a sound unmistakably their own by fusing various sonics and soundscapes.

“We couldn’t be happier that Whitechapel will be a part of this outstanding bill. We last shared the stage on the Shogun tour more than ten years ago, so it is an incredible opportunity for us to do so once more after seeing how the band has evolved and added a killer melodic element to their violent sound.”

Paolo Gregoletto, the band’s bassist, added, “Khemmis is one of my beloved new bands of the last few years, and when we were able to put the tour together, I strongly proposed having them on the bill.” It is always a testament to the sound of a band when you have struggles pinning a label to it, whether it be doom metal, melodic metal, thrash metal, or death metal. I think this is always a good thing. When it comes to Khemmis, everything is present and rock solid. They are a live band that deserves a score of ten out of ten, and they did a fantastic job covering ‘Rainbow in the Dark,’ so you should not miss their set.

Where exactly will the tour stop next?

The concert tour will start on October 2 in Boise, Idaho, and end on November 10 in Los Angeles, California. Trivium supported Iron Maiden on the North American leg of their Legacy of the Beast tour in September, and the Dead Men and Dragons tour will immediately follow that run.

In addition to making stops in New York, Vancouver, Calgary, Atlanta, and Orlando, Trivium will appear in many other cities.
