A band formed by friends or a band formed by couples however you would like to take it the “Silversun Pickup” is the name we are talking about. Formed in earlier of the century, the band is going to celebrate it’s two decades or twenty year anniversary celebration in 2020 in style. It was founded by Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester in early 2000 and still rocking the fans with their album.
Silversun Pickups teased with a music video and announced their 2020 tour dates and cities. They are on the tour for basically two reasons. Their recently released album is “Widow’s weeds” and it’s already getting much attention throughout America. Their wish is to promote their recent album “Widow’s Weeds” during their tour of 2020. And there is also the band’s 20th anniversary in 2020 and “Silversun Pickups” want to do it in style. It’s been a great journey for them so far in these 20 years.
From songs of quietest of quiet songs to loudest of loud songs, Silversun’s albums have them all. Before releasing their first album they started with an EP (Extended Play record). Their first EP was “Pikul”. In 2006 they finally released their first album, “Carnavas”. And they released 4 more albums following years to come.
With their last recorded album “Widows Weeds”, the band is likely to start there New Year’s tour on February 4, 2020. Tickets are already on sale for the tour.
