Primavera Sound has announced the lineup for its 2022 festival in Barcelona, spanning two weekends with different artists playing each. The first weekend (June 2-4) will see headliners include Pavement, the Strokes, and Massive Attack; Tame Impala, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and Gorillaz on Friday night of day 1 while Tyler’s Creator is set to take over Saturday evening. Day 2 sees newly reunited band Okkervil River up against disco legends New Order while Dolly Parton takes her place atop Sunday’s line-up alongside Fleet Foxes and alt-rocker St Vincent.
The lineup this year is absolutely phenomenal, with new artists like Lorde and Dua Lipa joining returnees including the Strokes. The festival has something for everyone to enjoy.
Some other artists playing the first weekend include Bikini Kill, Kacey Musgraves, Earl Sweatshirt (of Odd Future), Beck, and Charli XCX. Other notable acts on the lineup this week are Beach House, Caribou, and Shellac.
When you come to this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival, there are so many bands and artists that you will be entirely unable to see them all. You can find Charli XCX and King Gizzard playing second sets in one day; Big Thief, Run the Jewels, M.I.A., Jay Electronica, and more at a festival with such an incredible lineup of talent is boundless.
The final weekend of Barcelona’s Festa Major is set to close this Sunday with a Brunch on the Beach party. The event will also feature live music and most performances taking place at Parc del Forum. According to organizers, it’ll be another gender-balanced lineup according to the press release.
The Primavera Sound festival is a well-known music event that has been taking place annually since 2001. The last time this year it happened was in 2019, with headlining sets from Solange, Tame Impala, and Erykah Badu among others. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, the 2020 edition of the fest had to be postponed indefinitely; however, we’re happy to report it will return for 2022.

Weekend 2 will be happening this upcoming weekend and there are plenty of options for you to access. The price starts out at a modest 245€+ fee with some tickets available on the spot.
Weekend 1:
Weekend 1 is a great way to celebrate the upcoming springtime. Access to Primavera à la Ciutat concerts is always subject to each venue’s capacity, so make sure you buy your tickets in advance! This weekend will feature brunch-on-the beach and much more.
Weekend 1+ Weekend 2:
The programme of Barcelona’s first-ever Primavera a la Ciutat is now available. This includes Weekend 1 and the PRIMAVERA A LA CIUTAT BRUNCH-ON THE BEACH (which takes place on Saturday, 12th june). There are many concerts to choose from with an incredible selection of artists performing in various iconic venues throughout Barcelona city center including Palau de Congressos, Auditori 1899, and MACBA. The unique brunch event at beachside café Txiringuito offers live music by DJs as well as unlimited cocktails while you enjoy breakfast or lunch options off their menus such as eggs benedictine served atop freshly baked bread imported from France or smoked salmon toast featuring thinly sliced Scottish Dun.
