Final Thoughts

Papa Roach, who got their start in Vacaville, are now among the most well-known rock bands in the world. Last Resort, To Be Loved, She Loves Me Not, Scars, Forever, and Lifeline are some of the band’s most well-known songs since its 1993 formation. Following their self-titled debut album in 1997, they have gone on to release a total of ten more studio albums and get two Grammy nominations.

The alternative rock band Papa Roach shot to fame in the ’90s. The band has explored rap, punk, and heavy metal to create its sound, characterized by dark undertones and a harsh edge. Led Zeppelin, Queen, Metallica, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just a few of the bands that have influenced it. Jacoby Shaddix, the band’s original lead vocalist, co-founded the group with guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Will James, trombonist Ben Luther, and drummer Dave Buckner. The group’s name is a nod to the nickname under which Shaddix’s stepgrandfather, Howard William Roatch, lived.
