Metallica is set to tour in 2022 and 2023. The band has not toured since 2008 and they have just released their 10th studio album, Hardwired, to Self Destruct, which contains the song “Hardwired” that was played at Super Bowl 50. In 1980, James Hetfield met Lars Ulrich in an LA club and they bonded over heavy metal music. The two soon formed Metallica with drummer Dave Mustaine (who would later go on to form Megadeth). They released their first album Kill ‘Em All in 1983 when most people had never even heard of them! By the end of that year, they played for a full house at Madison Square Garden as part of New York City’s annual “Rock Against Reagan” concert.
