To commemorate the 50th anniversary of their breakthrough first album, Roxy Music, one of the most famous and thrilling musical bands in the historical record, will tour for the very first time in more than a decade.
Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson will perform 13 arena gigs in North America and the United Kingdom, beginning September 7 in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena, for the first time since their sold-out and critically praised 2011 For Your Pleasure tour. Buy Tickets From Here
The tour will visit cities throughout the United States, along with Madison Square Garden in New York and The Forum in Los Angeles, before concluding with a concert at London’s O2 Arena.
Roxy Music, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honorees, have made an everlasting influence on the realms of music, fashion, and art since their inception in 1972, integrating the three with a single and extraordinary vision that propelled them to instant worldwide success. They are now considered one of the most prominent bands of all time, with their work inspiring generations of musicians. Roxy Music’s eight studio albums, intense, passionate, and intelligent, with distinctive artwork, gave rise to the art phenomenon, blurring genre barriers and bringing a new type of beauty into metal songs for the first time.
All North American events (excluding Boston) will include a special guest, St. Vincent. Annie Clark has been considered one of the most original and interesting figures in modern music since her recording debut as St. Vincent in 2007, constantly recreating her unique sounds and personae—and winning two GRAMMY Awards in the process. St. Vincent’s victorious Daddy‘s Home, released in May 2021 to widespread acclaim, evoked the hangover elegance and gritty sepia-toned music of 1970s downtown NYC. In addition to recording and performing, St. Vincent has developed her own Ernie Ball Signature guitar and co-wrote and starred in the forthcoming film The Nowhere Inn as a dramatized version of herself. Roxy Music is commemorating its 20th anniversary in 2022. All of their eight studio albums, all of which have been hailed as modern masterpieces, will be released as special anniversary editions this year, complete with a new half-speed cut, reworked artwork, and a high gloss laminated finish. The first two albums, “Roxy Music” and “For Your Pleasure,” will be published on April 1, 2022, with the rest albums following suit year-round.
Tickets for the Live Nation-produced North American events will go on sale at ticketmaster.com on Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. local time. The artist presale started from Tuesday, March 29 (10 a.m. local time) until Friday, April 1 (10 a.m. local time) (5 pm local time). For each event, Roxy Music will offer a variety of VIP packages that include high price tickets, entry to the VIP lounge before the show, special limited merchandise, and more.
