This year marks the 20th anniversary of Hatebreed’s “Perseverance” album, and they’ve announced a tour in the fall of 2022. Gatecreeper and Bleeding Through will serve as the opening acts for some of the tour dates, and Bodysnatcher and Dying Wish will also be performing throughout the entire run.

The journey will begin on October 27 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and end on November 20 with a performance in San Diego. Bleeding Through will serve as Gatecreeper’s replacement for the remaining three show stops. In addition, Hatebreed promises to perform at additional shows, which have not yet been disclosed.

The release of Hatebreed’s second studio album, “Perseverance,” catapulted the band to new heights of prominence in the metal community. Following their signing with Universal in 2001, the band made their debut with a major label with the release of this album in 2002. Since then, frontman Jamey Jasta and the rest of the band have released many albums, the most recent of which is 2020’s “Weight of the False Self.”

It will be a busy year for Hatebreed in 2022, as the band will finish up their tour with Anthrax and Black Label Society just in time for the beginning of their 20th-anniversary term. Through August 28, the Anthrax and Black Label Society tour will be stopping in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. However, Hatebreed will no longer participate in the tour after their performance in Brooklyn, New York, on August 26.

Regarding Hatebreed

New Haven, Connecticut, is the band Hatebreed’s hometown. 1993 was the year that marked the beginning of the band members’ first performances together. Their objective was to get back to the roots of hardcore, and as a result, they produced blazing 30-second tracks with strident, metallic guitar work and screamed lyrics. Jamey Jasta provided the vocals for the band, and its other members included Lou Richards on guitar, Sean Martin on guitar, Chris Beattie on bass, and Rigg Ross (drums).

The band was allowed to play gigs up and down the East Coast, where they performed alongside legendary acts such as Entombed, Deftones, Slayer, and Napalm Death. This ferocious five-piece made their debut with Victory Records in 1997, releasing their album titled Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire as their first effort. After another five years, they were finally able to sign with a major label, and in 2010, they had their debut album, titled Perseverance, released Universal/Stillborn/Republic. This label was also responsible for releasing Hatebreed’s album “The Rise of Brutality” in 2003. In 2006, Roadrunner Records released the band’s fourth long-playing album, Supremacy.

The band’s new guitarist, Frank Novinec, made his debut appearance on their album Supremacy for the first time. Earlier in his career, Novinec honed his abilities while performing with bands like Ringworm, Terror, and Integrity. In 2003, Wayne Lozinak brought his considerable guitar chops to the band, and the band was immediately improved. The album For the Lions featured cover versions and was issued by Hatebreed the following year. In September, they released their most recent studio set, which was titled simply after themselves. The Divinity of Purpose was the title of Hatebreed’s sixth studio full-length album, released in 2013.
