Last Sunday the 77th annual Golden Glove award has been occurred in Beverly Hills, California for honoring the last year best in film and American television shows. This big show was hosted by 25 years old English stand up comedian, writers, producer, director and talented actor Ricky Gervais who is known for the British Television series “The Office”. It was his fifth time hosting in Annual Golden Glove award. He said that he is been here always for hosting, but he didn’t forget to tell that it was just a joke.
This award show was lead by Netflix which was nominated with 34 across in two categories. Which was film and TV categories. The biggest streaming divorce drama “Marriage Story” got the highest time nominations. It has got 6 nominations. But the nominees list was declared on 9th December 2019.
“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” got the most awards in this ceremony. It got three awards including the best supporting actor and the best motion picture. Joker, 1917 and Rocketman got two awards respectively. But 1917 also got the best motion picture in drama category.
On the other hand the British director Sam Mendes got the very surprise best director winning prize for his wonderful First World War movie in 1917. This british director was really astonished after getting this award. He said that it’s really a big surprise and a great moment to get this award to fall back Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.
Laura Dern got the best supporting actress for acting as a ruthless divorce lawyer in the biggest divorce drama series “Marriage Story” For getting this award he has to fall back the favorite Jennifer Lopez who was played a feisty pole dancer role in “Hustlers”. It was also a surprising moment for Laura Dern.
On the other way “Parasite” was got the best motion picture in foreign language category.. One another thing is the Golden Glove announced a rule that is :- For nomination of Best Picture, Dialogue and Comedy essential to have 50 percent dialogue must be in English. For this reason some of best movies like The Farewell, Pain and Glory & Parasite are disqualified for those top categories award.
This entertaining arrangement was full of Globes fashions, very entertaining moments. The whole night was covered with full of lightening and enjoyable for attending audience and viewers.
