Dr. Dog will be done with the road by 2021, and are choosing to end their final tour in Philadelphia at two different venues as they complete four dates of shows.

This year’s final stretch for the band led by Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman, who grew up together in West Grove, will be their last. The members of DrFameous start off on Aug. 20 at Fred the Festival in Arrington, Va., and finish with two nights (Dec 28-29) at the Theatre of Living Arts followed by New Year’s Eve shows this December 30th & 31st Union Transfer show.

Don’t miss your chance to see Dr. Dog live in Philly! Tickets for all four shows go on sale at noon Friday with ticket links available now at drdogmusic.com, and a limited presale is already underway so you can get the best seats before they’re gone,

Dr. Dog, one of those bands that can only be categorized by genre because they don’t fit into any specific category and are just universally good, is taking a break to focus on family life and other projects which will give their live performances more meaning.

Dr. Dog has announced that the band will take an indefinite hiatus in order to spend time with loved ones outside of music or performing at festivals for now but this does not mean Dr. Dog is breaking up – it doesn’t even rule out future festival dates as well

The band announced that they are done touring for good and have no plans to start again. They also said it won’t involve going on tour, although this one will be an exception because it is so awesome,

After the enforced pandemic layoff, Dr. Dog has been on a nonstop and full-time tour since releasing their album Easy Beat in 2005 with all four members being spread across Philadelphia to Tucson and Richmond respectively.

Michelle Zauner of the Philly band Japanese Breakfast will see her memoir Crying in H Mart, about grief, food, and Korean-American identity made into a feature film by MGM’s Orion Pictures. She’ll adapt it for screen herself after its success on bestseller lists across America. Her three sold-out shows at Union Transfer this week are followed up with a fourth show coming Friday night that’s now available online.

Music producer Clive Davis is bringing a massive concert to New York on August 21, with plans to hold the event in Central Park. To attend, you’ll need a ticket and proof of vaccination.

Dr. Dog ‘Last Tour’ dates 2021

Dr. Dog fans rejoice! The band is officially coming to a close and has announced their last tour dates for 2021. On January 18th, the band confirmed that they will be disbanding after 20 years due to personal commitments outside of music.  These upcoming shows are your last chance to see Dr. Dog perform live in concert so make sure you buy tickets soon before they sell out.
