The electronic dance duo Boombox Cartel is kicking off a tour in February 2021, after the release of their new 2020 single. The first date announced is for February 19th at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. With successful EDM releases under their belt along with an EP titled “Cartel,” they are dominating the Latin Electronic Dance scene with a blend of hip-hop sound infused into Latin tunes.
Boombox Cartel is an electronic music duo consisting of producer Americo Garcia and writing partner, Jorge Medina. They got their big break in 2015 when they released a track called B2U with guest vocalist Ian Everson which gained the attention of major DJs like Skrillex Diplo, Martin Garrix. Since then Boombox has performed at many large festivals across North America as well as releasing singles on notable record labels including Mad Decent OWSLA, Spinnin’ Records to name only a few collaborations have included artists such Madeintyo LOUDPVCK Jalen N’Gonda, etc.
The LA-based duo was formed back in 2012 and consists of producer Americo Garcia and writing partner Jorge Medina. They have since signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent label in 2016, releasing dozens of collaborations that year with artists like Nghtmre, Grabbitz, Bro Safari, Quix (featuring JID), Nessly (with Flosstradamus) Tory Lanez Bad Bunny, MadeinTYO Dillon Francis Desiigner Krane. Boombox Cartel released their latest EP ‘Cartel II’ featuring a number of guest appearances earlier this month including Calivania Reese Laflare Moody Good Jid. Boombox Cartel dropped the new album “Cartell II” on April 10.

Boombox Cartel is an electronic music duo from Los Angeles, California. The group consists of two producers and DJs: Eric Mendez (aka El Dusty) and Louis the Child. They have released six singles since their formation in 2018, including “Cartoon” with Blackbear and “LOL”. Their latest EP titled “Maquina” was released on September 28th, 2020.
