JoJo Siwa may have sang “Nobody Can Change Me,” but her hair appears to be a special case.
Jojo Siwa has adopted the adage “short hair, don’t care” in her own life, ditching her distinctive ponytail in favor of a much shorter hairstyle.
Siwa unveiled her new style on Instagram on Thursday, captioning an exuberant vehicle selfie “HAPPPPPPY.”
On Wednesday, the pop artist captioned an Instagram video of someone snipping off her renowned long blond hair, “Mayyyyy have done something todayyyy.”
Siwa, who is fresh and clean off the street from D.R.E.A.M. The Tour, gasps when her characteristic ‘do is cut in the film, but the video doesn’t reveal her finished appearance.
With Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” playing in the background, Siwa, 18, looks to be experiencing the hotter weather with a shorter, bolder hairdo for the next season.
“I NEED THE RESULTS I NEED,” and “EVERYONE SHUT UP THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO HAPPEN TO ME ALL DAY,” said Siwanatorz, the authorized name for the teen’s supporters, who commented on the post with a range of astonished emotions.
Siwa presented her new pixie with chopped sides on Thursday, coupled with lengthy hair up top that she can fashion in a number of ways, so they only had to wait a short time.
“Yesterday, I went for the ‘down and curly’ moment, but today I went for an ‘up and back’ moment,” she said on her Stories. “Let me know what y’all think; I think I might be into the ‘up and back.’”
Added Siwa, “It’s going to be different every day, as I’m still learning how to do it. It’s way different than long hair. It’s crazy! But I’m obsessed.”
The online sensation’s new look was praised by several of Siwa’s prominent acquaintances.
“OBSESSEDDDDDDDDDD,” Mollee Gray, star of “Teen Beach Movie,” commented.
“YOOOOOOOOOOOO. WAiT are we HAIR TWINS?” wrote actor and Radio Disney host Cameron McLeod.
“Love it so much,” “You” actor Dallas Skye wrote.
“it makes me so happy seeing you be and YOU. you look so beautiful bestie,” dancer Ezra Sosa commented.
The beloved “Dance Moms” actress has stunned fans with hair changes before; in June 2020, she dyed her characteristic blond hair dark.
In earlier years, she’s also played with ditching her signature bows and ponytail in favor of a more casual and comfortable appearance or different styles.
Another shift for the former “Dancing with the Stars” alum? After her breakup with ex Kylie Prew, Siwa stated she was in a new relationship at the end of March.
“I am not single, and I don’t want to mingle,” Siwa, who recently celebrated one year since coming out as gay, said on the “Rachel Uncensored” Podcast.
Siwa also just finished her first countrywide tour (with earlier overseas engagements before to the epidemic), which she wore with a high ponytail and rainbow sequined bow, of course.
